Suzhou city public security key laboratory, for suzhou big demand of social development, in view of the city's public security, especially such as fire, hazardous chemicals leakage and security problem induced by lots more coupling, high and new technology research and development city public safety, build technical innovation platform and technology exchanges and cooperation platform at home and abroad, Vigorously promote the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and make innovative contributions to the realization of a harmonious Suzhou and the guarantee of the sustainable development of society and economy in Suzhou.
Established in 2007, the Laboratory integrates scientific research, personnel training, achievement incubation and other functions, and relies on the high-quality resources of the State Key Laboratory of Fire Science, University of Science and Technology of China. The laboratory covers an area of more than 1000 square meters, and has built an underground space thermal disaster experiment platform, an ultra-fine water mist fire extinguishing experiment platform, a nano-composite flame retardant and functional material processing and testing platform, and a large fire safety simulation and analysis platform, etc.
The research direction
Focusing on urban public safety science and key control technology, the following four directions with medium and long term research and development potential are mainly set:
I. Digital city and disaster simulation technology
Research digital city key technology, and on this basis, research and develop the simulation reconstruction and digital simulation technology of rapid prediction of sudden thermal disaster accidents, such as fire and dangerous chemical leakage, to realize the dynamic prediction and prediction of disaster accident development process.
Urban public security evaluation technology
To establish information acquisition, identification, risk assessment and hazard analysis technology for urban major hazard sources and high-risk fire units, to study the diagnosis, identification, classification and classification methods of accident hidden dangers, and to develop key technology of urban public safety assessment based on engineering application.
III. Safety engineering materials
It aims to study the principles of disaster formation and development, explore the engineering material problems in the process of pre-disaster prevention, in-disaster control and post-disaster repair, develop new methods and technologies of material safety design, and research and develop disaster accident prevention and safety protection technologies and materials. It mainly includes the research and development and engineering application of new safety functional materials (green flame retardant and flame retardant materials, as well as fire prevention, thermal protection, safe energy storage, nuclear safety, anti-corrosion and anti-toxic attenuation-reducing materials, etc.); Material safety assessment methods and techniques; Fire evidence identification method and technology; Key technologies and materials for emergency disposal of hazardous chemical accidents and environmental remediation.

Urban public security control technology
Developing key technologies for monitoring, warning and control of major urban fire and hazardous chemical leakage accidents; Focusing on the research and development of a new generation of environmentally friendly and efficient fire control technology, research and development of dangerous chemical leakage dynamic tracking and environmental restoration technology, the construction of an urban public safety emergency decision-making system based on Web-GIS and information technology.
